Biography
Therese is an Associate of the Institute, leader of industry-focussed research that translates into practice. She has extensive experience in urban water management across Australia, skilled at process design, monitoring, regulatory compliance, policy development and implementation. Therese has been invited to author and develop urban water policy and guidelines in Australia and internationally, and provides training to both regulators and proponents on water management implementation. Therese has a passion for creating balance in the urban water cycle: be that centralised, decentralised, renewable, new, or recycled – it must be fit for purpose. She has a PhD in industrial wastewater and is an active participant in industry related bodies such as the International Water Association and Australian Water Association. Therese is also CEO and Director of several SMEs and has Board experience across non-for-profit organisations and private companies. Recognised leader in risk assessment and institutional governance. IP portfolio leadership and product commercialisation. Global water science technologist with a focus on recycled water and its regulation.
